This is a new page on our website, visible for the first time on Saturday, March 5, 2022. Our members are still adding their information to this public directory, so keep checking back!

Some members consider a public directory an essential element to extend their reach to private clients.  Other members of the Chicago Tour-Guide Professionals Assn. do not want their contact information posted on line and available to the public. In response to these member desires, the directory below only contains contact information for a portion of the CTPA membership.

We have 130+ members. Our membership consists of two GUIDE categories: Certified Tour Guides (CTGs) who have completed a three part test, and Candidate Guides who have not yet taken the test. We also have Associate Members who are often Destination Management or Transportation companies,  venues, or other affiliated organizations that are involved in tourism and help promote professionalism in the greater Chicago area. Finally, we have a few Honorary Members and some non-working Friend Members, who are interested in Chicago tourism.

All members speak English and many members also work in giving tours in a foriegn languge. You may search the directory for members that speak other languages or those who give specialty tours. Here is the foreign language guide list for 2022.
